On 9 January 2024, the Ministry of Health issued a press release on the health effects of alcohol consumption on their official social media site.

According to the press, alcohol consumption poses serious negative impacts on health, economy and society, especially on family members, friends and others. The press has also listed various side effects of excessive alcohol consumption such as liver disease and problems, cancers, anxiety, depression, etc.
