Press release on the outcome of the National Minimum Wage Council meeting
On 11 September 2023, the National Minimum Wage Council issued a press release on the outcome of the deliberations on minimum wage for textiles, garments, footwear, and travel products and bags for 2024. As of today, there are 15 negotiation meetings on minimum wage, including nine bilateral and tripartite meetings and six internal meetings of each party.
As a result, worker’s representatives continued to maintain the figure at 215 US dollars and employers’ representatives continued to maintain their figures of 201 US dollars. The meeting agreed to resume the discussion at 9:00 a.m. on 18 September 2023 and strive to end the negotiation meeting on the minimum wage by 28 September 2023.
