Press release: The impact on citizens and civilian areas caused by Thai aggression on Cambodian sovereign territory, from 12:00 to 18:00 on 10 December 2025

On 10 December 2025, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release informing the national and international community that Thailand’s violations of international law and breaches of the ceasefire against Cambodia’s sovereign territory have caused severe impacts on civilian safety, destruction of infrastructure, pagodas, cultural property, and disruption of essential public services. The ministry stated that, as of the evening of December 10, the cross-border clash brought the death toll to ten civilian casualties and injured approximately sixty civilians. The total number of displaced civilians exceeded 56,000 families, approximately 190,000 people. Civilian infrastructure, including homes, schools, pagodas, ancient temples, roads, and public facilities, continued to suffer damage due to Thailand’s shelling and F-16 air strikes targeting civilian centers up to 30 km inside Cambodian territory. The ministry urged ASEAN, the United Nations, and the international community to monitor, condemn, and take appropriate measures against the brutal and barbaric crimes that have gravely violated the UN and ASEAN Charters. It demanded that Thailand immediately cease these wrongful acts and fully comply with the ceasefire terms.
