On 1 January 2026, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release regarding the situation following the ceasefire agreement from 6:00 PM on 31 December 2025 to 1:00 PM on 1 January 2026.

According to preliminary report, from 6:00 PM on 31 December, 2025 to 1:00 PM on 1 January 2026, 5,192 displaced persons continued to return to their homes, resulting in a remaining total of 512,263 displaced persons, including 267,063 women and 161,989 children.
