Cambodia, South Korea Ties

Cambodia-Korea Alumni Association (CAMKAA) in cooperation with The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Cambodia Office launched the 3rd Seminar on the “Exchange Experiences of the Cambodia Korea Alumni Association” on August 26th to observe the mutual cooperation between Cambodia-South Korea. Mr. Seng Setha, President of CAMKAA, and Director of Personnel and HR Department, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, said that, “The main purpose of this seminar is to share and exchange experiences, know-how and expertise among members from one field to another field and from one ministry to another ministry who received a variety of technical training programs in the Republic of Korea in both long and short terms as organized by the Korea International Cooperation Agency. This was the third time that the association had organized the seminar.” At the workshop, both sides highlighted work of Road Investment Plan 2008-2023, SMEs in Cambodia, Case Studies on LYLY Food Industry, Integrated Rural Development Project, and Public Audit Management… CAMKAA is an initiative among Cambodian former trainees from Korea and KOICA, which was established in 2007. At the moment, there are around 250 former Cambodian trainees from Korea who registered as members of CAMKAA, including 9 board members who are responsible for directing and managing the activities of the association.
