Cambodian court grants bail to 4 suspects arrested for inciting violence

The Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Tuesday decided to grant bail to four people who were arrested last week on the charge of inciting armed forces to topple the government, a court official said. “The court decided to release them on bail,” Meas Chanpisith, deputy prosecutor of the court, told reporters after the court’s decision, adding that the suspects have promised not to commit any offences in the future. … A National Police’s statement, issued on Saturday last week, said the four suspects including two females were arrested for producing and distributing hundreds of leaflets, with an aim of inciting weapon violence to topple the government. …
