China’s appetite for rubber increasing

Natural rubber consumption in China, Cambodia’s largest rubber market, is expected to rise by 7.2 per cent in 2013 after growing by 4.5 per cent last year, according to the Singapore-based International Rubber Study Group (IRSG). Demand in North America was expected to grow 4.2 per cent this year after shrinking by 6.9 per cent in 2012, IRSG told the Post yesterday. … “We do not comment on  future rubber prices,” IRSG senior economist No Dock Moung told the Post yesterday. …
