Hun Sen Lashes Out at Critics of Land Project

Prime Minister Hun Sen lashed out at unnamed "stupid" analysts for alleging that he was overseeing the issuance of land titles to a community in Kratie province on Friday to appease the suffering of the people there. ... "I would like to send a message to stupid doctorate analysts that I'm very ashamed for them as Cambodians, for making such a stupid analysis." Mr. Hun Sen said that the measurement of contested village land [in Snuol district] by his student volunteers had been completed first in Snuol, which was the reason the location was chosen, and communities in other provinces would receive similar titles as soons as the work was completed there too. ... Mr. [Mech] Vanna [acting governor for Snuol district] said more than 4,000 plots of land in the district are being demarcated for titles by the students. ...
