A disaster management official said yesterday that recent flooding in some northern provinces had not caused serious damage to villagers’ homes or caused any loss of life, but said authorities were still keeping a watchful eye. Keo Vy, cabinet chief and a spokesman for National Committee for Disaster Management, said heavy rain and ensuing floods had drenched the northern provinces since August, but had only destroyed some paths and a wooden bridge. …
