Rady Mom, Cambodian-American state representative in Massachusetts, U.S.A, was not allowed yesterday to meet with 17 activists who are currently being detained at Prey Sar prison. Rady Mom and his colleagues as well as Members of Parliament and Senators of opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party went to Prey Sar to visit the detainees, but were prevented by the prison officials, saying that there was no permission granted by the court. … 17 people including Meach Sovannara, CNRP’s senior official, have been arrested and detained since November 10 for their various roles in protests. …
