Rice Exports to China Rise
Following a meeting on Aug 9, between Chan Saron, from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and a delegate from China National Cereal, Oils and Foodstuff Cooperation (CNCOFC) that was led by Jiang Fan of the Chinese Commercial Department of Foreign Affairs, rice exports to China are expected to receive a boost. According to the Agricultural Ministry, the ministry had agreed to sign on MOU on Oct 22, 2010 regarding the quality of food and exports of cassava to China (p 27).
