Open Development Cambodia (ODC) published a new dataset on “Forest cover data”

Open Development Cambodia (ODC) published a new dataset on “Forest cover data”.This dataset includes tree cover extent, primary forest extent, aboveground live woody biomass (AGB) stocks and densities, annual tree cover loss, annual tree cover loss by dominant driver, primary forest loss, GHG emissions, CO2 removals, and net GHG flux at the country and sub-national levels. Data spans 2001-2024 for tree cover loss, emissions, and flux; 2002-2024 for primary forest loss; and 2000 for tree cover, biomass, and stocks. The tree cover data was produced by the University of Maryland’s GLAD lab with Google. Carbon emissions, removals, and net flux data are based on Harris et al. (2021), while primary forest and driver data are from Turubanova et al. (2018) and Sims et al. (2025). The data is presented for various canopy cover thresholds and is available for download from Global Forest Watch and uploaded to the ODC website.
