Cambodia says to accept only voluntary refugees from Australia

Cambodia will take in only voluntary refugees from Australia, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong said Wednesday. "We will only receive refugees, who voluntarily agree to come to Cambodia, not by force," he said in a response to questions raised by journalists. "This is the most important principle of Cambodia." Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop requested Cambodia to accept some of refugees from Australia during her visit to Cambodia in February, and early April, Australian Immigration Minister Scott Morrison flew to Cambodia to further discuss the issue with Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Kheng. ...
