Inflation Hits 14-Month High As Food Prices Continue to Rise

Inflation rose to 6.5 percent in May when compared to the same time last year, marking a 14 month high. Consumer prices are also shown to have risen by 1.4 percent with meat, fish and vegetables as the main culprit as they increased as well. Seafood prices increased by 10.9 percent and meat by 12.4 percent, rice fell a little, but not enough to be significant overall.
