The number of mobile telephone subscriptions reached nearly 20 million at the end of June, representing 135 percent of the total population, the telecoms minister said last week. The number of mobile subscriptions first topped Cambodia's total population of 14.5 million people in November last year, reaching 14.96 million as operators distributed SIM cards at little to no cost in an attempt to get customers to use their services. That trend has not changed.
