NEC Calls for Council Election Candidates

The National Election Committee (NEC) on Tuesday called on political parties to send in lists of proposed candidates who wish to be considered in the upcoming municipal, provincial, city and district council elections, which are scheduled for May 18. NEC President Im Suosdey said at a press conference that parties should hurry to get their lists in before the five-day registration period ends March 3. ... With Kompong Cham province ordered split and Tbong Khmum province created, spawning new districts, there will be 3,324 positions up for grabs in May.
