Pesticide containers, plastic bags removed from Kampot crane habitat

More than 2,600 pieces of plastic trash, including discarded agricultural pesticide containers and plastic bags were collected from a protected area in Kampot province’s Kampong Trach district this year as part of ongoing efforts to reduce pollution and safeguard the habitat of the endangered sarus crane. The cleanup was conducted by NatureLife Cambodia, in cooperation with conservation rangers and local communities. This year, the teams collected 1,345 pesticide containers and 1,296 plastic bags, weighing a combined 391kg. …
