You’re invited to a special edition of the Phnom Penh Mapping Meetup, which is scheduled from 6:00 – 7:30pm on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Equinox.
Members of the PPMM group are fans of the open movement, especially open source mapping applications. In honor of the newly released Quantum GIS 2.0, Mathieu Pellerin will enlighten us with some exciting features and take questions pertaining to the software. Next on the list is an open discussion on Geo-tagging. Open Development Cambodia is looking to integrate Geo-Tags features into its open data platform. The Team is interested in hearing suggestions and feedback from users and mapping aficionados on what they would like to see implemented on the ODC website.
Please mark your calendar and bring some friends along. Stay tuned for October’s and November’s meet-ups. We have gotten, respectively, ‘remote sensing’ and ‘water mapping’ on our agenda.
Best wishes,
PPMM Coordinating Team
PS: Should you wish to share an idea or send feedback on either the Phnom Penh Mapping Meetup or the ODC website in general, please contact the ODC Research & Volunteer Coordinator. -
