Open Development Cambodia (ODC) published a new dataset on “Labor incidents”

Open Development Cambodia (ODC) published a new dataset on “Labor incidents”. This dataset is a resource for understanding labor-related issues in Cambodia. It documents various types of labor incidents, including worker protests, strikes, complaints, factory closures, and other significant employment-related changes. The dataset is intended to increase transparency and inform the public about labor conditions and disputes.

This labor incidents dataset has been collected since 2020 by the Solidarity Center Cambodia team through publicly available documents in collaboration with the Open Development Cambodia Organization (ODC) to complement the data collection and cleanup in the form of a Google spreadsheet. The location of the employer’s enterprise or organization or of the site or establishment where a dispute, incident, or accident occurs was collected from Google Maps. Then it was converted into CSV format, and geospatial data was created to be uploaded to the website of the Open Development Cambodia Organization (ODC).
