Announcement of the Ministry of Education on E-learning to assist student’s education
On 13 March 2020, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport released a press release on online learning (E-Learning) to support students in grades 9 and 12 suspended studies at public and private schools in Siem Reap city, Siem Reap province to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and also for other students who wish to receive additional education.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has launched a free E-learning program for six specialized subjects that enable students to study for themselves on official social networks and electronic systems of the Ministry. The six major subjects include mathematics, history, physics, chemistry, biology, and Khmer. The Ministry will launch this E-learning program from 13 March 2020, with allowing the students to access to the following options:
- The Ministry's official YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/moeys
- The Ministry's official Facebook page: www.facebook.com/moeys.gov.kh, that will be broadcast daily by morning for grade 9 and afternoon for grade 12.
- The Ministry's E-learning platform: elearning.moeys.gov.kh. Students have access to free and optional courses or courses (sign in as guest).
As mentioned above, please all teachers, parents, guardians encourage all students, especially provide them the favorable conditions for continued e-learning by accessing websites and social media channels provided above as it should.
