Cambodia protests against Thailand’s persistent violations of Cambodian sovereignty and territorial integrity
On 27 August 2026, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release on the protest of Cambodia against Thailand’s persistent violations of Cambodian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Royal Government of Cambodia strongly protests against the afore-mentioned activities, which constitute a clear violation of Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as defined and delimited by the 1:200.000 scale maps produced by the Commissions of Delimitation of the Boundary between Indo-China and Siam and Article 5 of the MOU signed on 14 June 2000, as well as Item I ( De-escalation Measures ) of the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Meeting of the General Border Committee on 27 December 2025.
