Joint statement on strengthening the Cambodia-Vietnam friendship and cooperation

At the Peace Palace on 20 July 2017,  Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia,​ Hun Sen, met with Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Both parties have discussed on a number of issues, including the South China Sea.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Hun Sen and Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong Witnessed the signing of documents, namely:

  1. Joint Statement  on strengthening the Cambodia-Vietnam friendship and Cooperation;
  2. Protocol on Permanent Disaster Relief Actions along the Land Border Areas between the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of National Defence of the Socialist REpublic of Vietnam;
  3. Joint Framework Agreement between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on Cambodia-Vietnam Economic Connectivity;
  4. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Mines and Energy of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic Vietnam on Cooperation of Power Plant Projects Development, Power Grid Interconnection and Power Exchange; and
  5. Memorandum of Understanding between National Institute of Posts, Telecoms & ICT of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia and Vettel (Cambodia) PTE.LTD.
