Joint statement of the Association of Banks in Cambodia and the Cambodia Microfinance Association on the understanding and favor to borrowers affected by the flood
On 19 October 2022, the Association of Banks and the Cambodia Microfinance Association has posted a joint statement on the understanding and favor to borrowers affected by the flood.
According to the joint statement, the two associations agree to provide good cooperation within the framework of customer protection and continue to favor credit restructuring in accordance with the conditions set by the National Bank of Cambodia. Both member banking and financial institutions will also consider the possibility of easing interest rates and other fees related to credit and/ or waiving fines and avoiding foreclosure of customers with high understanding and tolerance.
