On 10 December 2024, Ministry of Environment, Maddox Jolie-pitt foundation and Fauna&Flora issued a joint press release on new survey reveals rich biodiversity in Cambodia’s Samlout Multiple use area on their official social media site.
The study has documented a diverse array of invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals, as well as the presence of several endangered and critically endangered species such as Sunda pangolin, Asian elephant, and dhole, highlighting the ecological importance of this area.
