The State Secretariat of Border Affairs would like to inform all Cambodian and international public that in the past, the Cambodian JBC Committee has sent several diplomatic requests to the Thai JBC Committee to request a special meeting of the Cambodia-Thai JBC Committee and to request the dispatch of Joint Survey Teams (JSTs) to continue carrying out practical work on the ground, but the Thai side has responded by requesting a series of postponements for the following reasons: to complete internal procedures, to await the national election, to await the appointment of a new Prime Minister, to await the election of a new Cabinet, and to await the approval by the Thai Cabinet of Ministers on the appointment of the new Chairman and composition of the Thai JBC Committee.
