On 9 January 2026, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release on the situation following the ceasefire agreement from 6:00 AM on 8 January to 6:00 AM on 9 January 2026.
From 6:00 AM on 8 January to 6:00 AM on 9 January 2026, an additional 5,787 displaced persons returned to their homes. Therefore, out of a total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, approximately 470,000 displaced persons have returned to their homes. As a result, 173,107 displaced persons, including 90,795 women and 56,757 children, remain in displacement camps.
