Signing ceremony of record of discussions on “Project for formulation of the development plan for urban water supply”
On January 12, 2023, at the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), the Record of Discussions for JICA New Technical Cooperation Project for Formulation of the Development Plan for Urban Water Supply was signed by H.E. Oum Sotha, Secretary of State, MISTI and Ms. KAMEI Haruko, Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia Office.
It is the fifth continuous Technical Cooperation Project in Water Supply Sector since 2003. The expected goal of the new project is that access to clean, safe, sustainable and affordable water in Cambodia will be improved through the development guide and development plans, including the efficient demarcation between public and private water supply operators. This project is for three years and will contribute to implementing the Water Supply Policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia to improve the quality of life of the Cambodian people.
