Major boulevards increasing in price
The sale and purchase of land along the four major boulevards in Phnom Penh climbed up to 40 per cent in the third quarter of 2012, while the construction of offices is gradually on the rise, according to real estate experts. The growth of land prices is encouraging investors to increase their investments along Monivong, Norodom, Mao Tse Tung and Russian Federation Boulevards, which grew 15 per cent in the third quarter in 2012, compared to the same period in 2011. … Based on the assessment of VMC Real Estate, the land prices ranged between $2,500 and $3,500 per square meter along Monivong and Norodom Boulevards in the third quarter of 2012, compared to $2,000 to $3,000 in 2011. Along Mao Tse Tung Boulevard they ranged between $2,000 and $2,500, compared to the $1,800 to $2,000 last year. And along Russian Federation Boulevard they ranged between $1,000 to $1,500 dollars, compared to the $900 to $1,000 in 2011. …
