Cambodia’s National Assembly Secretary General, Leng Peng Long, called on the Ministry of Interior to take decisive action over members of parliament whose vehicles still use out of date number plates. … On Thursday, the Secretariat of the National Assembly had informed lawmakers and former lawmakers to stop using number plates; National Assembly 1, National Assembly 2, National Assembly 3 and National Assembly 4. “The Secretariat of the National Assembly will not take any responsibility over the use of invalid number plates,” said Leng Peng Long, Secretary General of the National Assembly. … The Cambodia National Rescue Party’s 55 lawmakers, who are currently boycotting the National Assembly sessions, cannot get up to date number plates for their vehicles, because they haven’t sworn in at the Royal Palace to become valid lawmakers. …
