Asean water platform (AWP) 6th – 14th July 2018 at Can Tho University, Vietnam

The goal of the annual ASEAN Water Platform (AWP) is to build capacity in research on water natural resource management (WNRM) within the partner countries’ institutions. The purpose of AWP is to gather together researchers with different backgrounds in order to have an exchange of multidisciplinary methodological approaches related to the analysis of WNRM sector. Therefore, facilitators specialized in various fields will be carefully selected. A second objective is to disseminate knowledge on WNRM and enhance collaboration between the participants.

This annual workshop platform will divide into four workshops:

- Workshop 1: Risk management strategies in natural resource management

- Workshop 2: Holistic urban water resources management

- Workshop 3: Computer modeling and simulation of socio-environmental systems. 'Exploring and designing adaptation strategies against salinity intrusion in the Vietnamese Mekong delta'

- Workshop 4: Field research-qualitative methodologies in social science. 'Usage and management of water resources in the context of change'
