Three new natural protected areas established to be under the management and conservation of Ministry of Environment

On  13 September 2016, the Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to establish three new Natural Protected Areas with a total land area of 27 941.06 hectares to be under the management and conservation of Ministry of Environment. Those three Natural Protected Areas include of Koh Kong National Park (Preah Sihanouk province) with the a size of 2 655.35 hectares, Phnum Tbaeng Natural Heritage Area (Preah Vihear province) with a size of 25 269.41 hectares, and Boeng Prek Tub (Preah Sihanouk province) with a size of 16.3 hectares. In overall, the 45 Natural Protected Areas with a total land area of 5 902 444.06 hectares are under the management of Ministry of Environment.
