The forest situation in the Phnom Tamao Zoo and Wildlife Rescue Centre
On 04 August 2022, the Forestry Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries issued a press release on the forest situation in the Phnom Tamao Zoo and Wildlife Rescue Centre.
The Forestry Administration has issued a press release stating that in Phnom Tamao, a reforestation site filled with sand, the trees not growing well, and close to the city, new airport, and Tonle Bati tourist area, therefore, the government decided to develop this area in exchange for additional development to parks, zoos and wildlife rescue centre, museums, botanical gardens, government buildings, as well as materials.
