Open Development Cambodia (ODC) published a new dataset on “Tree cover loss in Cambodia”. This dataset contains information on tree cover loss in Cambodia from 2001 to 2025. From 2001 to 2025, Cambodia lost 3.0 Mha of tree cover, equivalent to 34% of the 2000 tree cover area, and emitted 1.8 Gt of CO₂e. This does not account for gains in tree cover over the same period. The data were downloaded from Global Forest Watch and subsequently uploaded to the ODC website.
