Apsara Authority plans tree campaign

In a bid to restore the environment in the Angkor Archaeological Park, the Apsara Authority is planning a campaign to have 40,000 new trees planted. In a statement published on Thursday, the Apsara Authority said it plans to plant saplings in multiple locations spanning 35 hectares sometime this month. Tens of thousands of Chhoeuteal, Korki, Kranhoung, and Thong saplings are to be planted in the areas of Prasat Prei, Prasat Preah Ko and Prasat Banteay Kdei. …
