Press release: Cambodia protests against activities of Thai Armed Forces in occupied areas
On 21 January 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release on Cambodia’s protests against activities of the Thai Armed Forces in the occupied areas.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has sent another formal protest against activities undertaken by Thai armed forces, which are inconsistent with de-escalation measures outlined in Item I of the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) of 27 December 2025.
