On 23 January 2026, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release on the situation following the ceasefire agreement from 6:00 AM on 22 January to 6:00 AM on 23 January 2026.

As of the morning of 23 January 2026, approximately 530,000 people, equivalent to about 82 percent of the total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, have returned to their homes.
