CPP says its lawmakers ready for first session of parliament
The ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) on Thursday said that its 68 elected lawmakers are ready to attend the National Assembly’s first session on September 23. The CPP would like to express gratitude to the King who is a symbol of national unity and stability, and announced that our 68 elected members will follow the King’s wishes, according to a letter. … The lawmakers of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party(CNRP), however, expressed their firm position that they will not attend the parliamentary session if the poll irregularities remained unsolved. …
