NA spokesman says opposition’s boycott makes no impact on session

The opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party’s (CNRP) lawmakers continued their boycott of the National Assembly session on Tuesday. CNRP spokesman Yem Punharith said that the lawmakers of the CNRP didn’t attend today’s session of the National Assembly because solutions to the election disputes have not yet been found. … National Assembly spokesman Chheang Vun, however, said that the opposition lawmakers’ boycott doesn’t affect the session in any way for the processes of law adoption which only needs a majority vote. He also said that opposition’s lawmakers are not even able to attend the session unless they are sworn in.
