Cambodia To be Free from ODA in 2030
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Keat Chhon announced that Cambodia would be free from the Official Development Assistance (ODA) by 2030. Speaking to the U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. William E. Todd in a discussion at the ministry yesterday, H.E. Keat Chhon said Cambodia is trying its best to reform all sectors so as to build foundation for the future development and in 2030 the country will be free from ODA. … Cambodia has so far received US$ 780 million in ODA from the U.S….. H.E. William E. Todd said the U.S. would like to see Cambodia be free from ODA and other foreign loans. The U.S. Ambassador also pledges to further strengthen the relationship and cooperation between the two countries during his diplomatic mission.
