Stocks Slow as CSX Sees First Day Without Trades
For the first time since the bourse went alive in April, no trading took place on the Cambodian Securities Exchange on Friday. The share price of the bourse’s sole listing, the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA), remained flat at 6,450 riel ($1.58) at the end of trading on Friday as sellers were unwilling to part with shares at that price. On July 17, the share price of the PPWSA dropped to 6,250 riel ($1.56), slightly below the initial public offering price of 6,300 riel ($1.57) and shares have fluctuated between 6,600 riel and 6,400 riel per share since then. “It’s the first time this has happened in this stock market,” said Svay Hay, president and managing director of Acleda Securities Plc. …
