1000 political, NGO observers for upcoming election
The National Election Committee announced on Monday that it recognized 843 representatives from political parties, and 159 election observers for upcoming city, provincial and district council election. A statement issued by the election committee said that the representatives from the five political parties are as follow: — Cambodian People’s Party (198, and 198 reserved observers) — Cambodia National Rescue Party (195, and 196 reserved observers) — Funcipec Party (26, and 23 reserved observers) — Democratic Republic Party (2, and 2 reserved observers) — League for Democratic Party (3 observers) 159 observers come from NGOs.
