Bidding for personalised number plates to be capped at $860 million
Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol on Tuesday launched a bidding system of the sale of personalised number plates for vehicles. Speaking during the launch, Chanthol said bidding will start at between two million and more than one billion riel ($500 and more than $250,000) per plate, and will be capped at 3.5 trillion riel. He said the plates will be valid for life and customers can put a name or anything they want on them, but nothing ‘inappropriate’. …
