Sam Rainsy: “ I have no fear to appear at the Court”
Opposition leaders said that they were not afraid to appear at the Court even though the defense lawyer would be busy. The comment came after their defense lawyer, Choung Chou Ngy, had sought delay of questioning the two opposition leaders Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha, who are the President and Deputy President of the Cambodia National Rescue Party, respectively. … “I would appear at the court as scheduled. I was not afraid even though my defense lawyer could not join,” Sam Rainsy said Saturday to his supporters in Banteay Meanchey province. … Both Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha were summoned to appear at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for questioning on January 14 following the deadly clashes last week, resulting the deaths of five people.
