On 12 May 2025, Ministry of Health issued a press release on increasing personal protection against COVID-19 infection.

COVID-19 infections continue to occur, and the latest is the mutation of the Omicron strain, especially the Omicron strain JN1, which was first detected in August 2023 and has spread rapidly in many regions around the world.
