Myanmar’s president applauds Hun Sen over reappointment

Myanmar’s president Thein Sein congratulated Hun Sen over his reappointment for a new five-year term as the Prime Minister of Cambodia for the fifth legislature. “I strongly believe that under the wise leadership of Sam Dech, the relation and cooperation between our two countries will be further strengthened for the interests of both of our countries and citizens,” Thein Sein wrote in a letter on Thursday. … Prime Minister Hun Sen had received congratulatory letters from other ‘friend’ countries after the National Assembly held a confidence vote on Tuesday to reappoint him as the Prime Minister. Those countries includes China, Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Singapore.
