Cambodian PM’s China tour produces fruitful outcome: official

The visit of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen to Beijing, capital of China, came to an end successfully, bringing closer relations between the two nations, a Cambodian senior official said on Sunday. … Hun Sen toured in Beijing from Friday to Sunday to attend the Dialogue on Strengthening Connectivity Partnership and the APEC Summit. The two meetings had been chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Kao said the Dialogue on Strengthening Connectivity Partnership, held on Saturday, was attended by leaders of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Tajikistan, and representatives of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. During the meeting, Xi announced that China would contribute 40 billion U.S. dollars to set up a Silk Road Fund, which is aimed to “break the connectivity bottleneck” in Asia. …
