Announcement on the status notice on cyclone 17, Nangka

On 12 August 2026, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology issued an announcement on the status notice on cyclone 17, Nangka.

The low-pressure area over the western Pacific Ocean has developed into Cyclone 17, Nangka T2617, along with Cyclone 16, Peilou T2616, and Cyclone 15, Chan-hom T2615, which have a strong impact on the southwest monsoon regime over the Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, South China Sea, Mekong River Basin, Cambodian Sea, and the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Kingdom of Cambodia is not in the path of these three cyclones.
