Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on the decision of the European Commission on tariffs preferences under the EBA regime
On 12 February 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia issues a statement to respond to the decision of the European Commission on tariffs preferences under the EBA regime.
The statement said, the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) regrets the unjust decision of the European Commission (EC) on the temporary partial withdraw of Everything But Arms (EBA) trade preference under the Article 19 of the Generalised Scheme of Preference (GSP) Regulation of the European Union and also addressed that the application of the concept of “serious and systematic violation” triggered by many misperceptions and misunderstandings about the actual realities in Cambodia.
