20 More Garment Factory Workers Injured on Way to Work

More than 20 garment workers were injured yesterday in Svay Rieng province when a truck in which they were traveling overturned, a police official said. Fifty-seven workers were on board an open-backed truck in Chantrea district when the driver lost control on a road that had been made slippery by rain, and skidded into a rice field, said Uch Sarorn, bureau chief of the provincial police department. … This is the third traffic accident involving garment workers in the province in two months. The previous two accidents left a total of 71 workers injured.
