20 More Garment Factory Workers Injured on Way to Work

More than 20 garment workers were injured yesterday in Svay Rieng province when a truck in which they were traveling overturned, a police official said. Fifty-seven workers were on board an open-backed truck in Chantrea district when the driver lost control on a road that had been made slippery by rain, and skidded into a rice field, said Uch Sarorn, bureau chief of the provincial police department. ... This is the third traffic accident involving garment workers in the province in two months. The previous two accidents left a total of 71 workers injured.
